FAQs

Are bookings required?

Yes, bookings at Sensaura Day Spa are essential. Please phone our reception on (07) 5473 5360 or send an enquiry via our Contact Us page. We will need to know your treatment choice, preferred date and time. A valid Visa or MasterCard is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment/s.

Reservations and Walk-Ins?

When time permits, we are delighted to accommodate walk-in guests at Sensaura. However, we recommend advanced bookings for our day spa services, as appointments are not always available on short notice. We require credit card details in order to confirm your booking. If you are redeeming a gift voucher, please mention this during your booking and where possible please provide your gift voucher number.

How do you book treatments online?

Please use our Request An Appointment button and this will take you to our online booking request form. Alternatively, if you have any questions, you can contact us at info@sensaura.com.au or call (07) 5473 5360.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that things change in our busy schedules; however, we kindly request 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or alter your appointment. Cancellations within 24 hours and outside of 3 hours with incur a 25% charge, and inside 3 hours or "No Shows" will be charged the full treatment rate including gift certificates. Credit card details are requested at the time of your booking and the cancellation fee will be charged to the nominated card. We appreciate your understanding!

Should I arrive early for my treatment?

Yes, we recommend that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your treatment time to make the most of your time with us. If this is your first visit you will need to complete a confidential client history form. If you have been before arriving early allows you to start the unwinding process whilst you relax on our balcony with an herbal tea or filtered water. If you arrive late then your treatment may have to be shortened so that other clients aren't kept waiting (no refunds possible, sorry).

What if I am running late for my appointment?

Arriving late will unfortunately reduce the time of your treatment so that other clients are not affected. Please contact the spa as soon as possible to notify that you are running late; however, the full treatment fee will still apply.

Checking in?

In order to maximize your Sensaura experience, please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. This will avoid a reduced treatment time and foster a relaxing outcome for your session. We request that you leave any valuables at home. Sensaura is not responsible for any lost property at our spa.

Do you have any restrictions on treatments?

Please inform us of any relevant health issues prior to booking, as some treatments may not be suitable for you (e.g. if you have recently undergone treatment for cancer). If you are under medical supervision, we ask that you obtain your doctor's approval before receiving any of our day spa treatments.

I am pregnant; is it safe to have treatments?

We offer a variety of treatments that are safe for all trimesters of pregnancy. Under guidance from professional massage associations, massage is recommended during the second and third trimesters only. Please be sure to notify us as to how many weeks/months pregnant you are when booking your treatments. We have only one full length massage table pregnancy mat, so please let us know if you prefer the mat for your treatment.

Health considerations?

Please advise reception upon making a booking of any allergies, ailments or disabilities, especially if you have high blood pressure or are pregnant, as some treatments or products may not be appropriate for you.

Facilities for the disabled?

Sensaura Day Spa has been designed with wheelchair access in mind. When making your booking, please let us know if you will need assistance. We will guide you to the lift within the Bay Village food court and bring you through the back entrance of Sensaura. We have both massage and scrub rooms suitable for wheelchairs.

Spa etiquette?

To respect everyone's spa experience of quiet and privacy, we do ask that noise levels be kept to a minimum and that your mobile phone is set to silent or switched off before entering the spa. We do not recommend consumption of alcohol before or directly after your treatment. If you are coming straight from the beach we ask that you rinse off to avoid sand on the towels and throughout the spa.

Do I need to shower before my treatment?

Yes, if you are coming from the beach we ask that you rinse off to avoid sand on the towels and throughout the spa. It is always best to shower before treatment as it is beneficial to leave the oil on afterwards; however, we understand that it is not always possible.

Can I wear my jewellery?

We recommend that you leave jewellery & other valuable items safely at home to avoid getting lost, or caught up in the towels where it can be damaged in our washing machine.

Can I use my mobile phone?

We ask that you turn your mobile phone to silent or off whilst in the day spa, out of respect and privacy of other guests who are here to relax. We are happy for you to use your phone for taking photos only and our friendly reception staff are always willing to take group photos should you wish.

Can I bring my baby or child to the day spa?

No, sorry. A day spa is a place of peace & pampering, for yourself & for other guests. We therefore suggest that you make arrangements so that you and others can relax and enjoy your treatments in peace.

Do you do treatments for children?

Our massage and facial treatments are available for children under 14 and by law require a parent present in the same room. Children aged 15-18 years with a parent’s consent can be treated without a parent present, by a Blue Card therapist only who has undergone the required police checks. We ask that you discuss this with our friendly reception staff when making a booking.

Gift Vouchers?

Our day spa Gift Vouchers are a popular choice for special occasions, or to simply say “thank you.” You can choose from any of our treatment choices or alternatively nominate a dollar amount, and what makes our gift vouchers extra special is, they have no expiry date. You can purchase an Express or Tailored voucher directly from our website, via email at info@sensaura.com.au or by phone on (07) 5473 5360.

Can you purchase a gift card for a specific treatment?

Sensaura Day Spa Gift Cards are available for all treatments - just click the Vouchers button and you will be directed to a list of all the services we offer. Once you’ve decided on a gift voucher, click the “Order Voucher” button and you will be taken to the checkout where an online generic voucher will be generated and emailed to you after payment. You can then print this voucher out or email it to a friend, or alternatively, we can email one of our Sensaura Day Spa designed vouchers to you or the recipient.

Can you request for a physical gift voucher to be posted to the receiver?

If you would rather a physical Gift Voucher be posted rather than emailed, please contact us at info@sensaura.com.au or phone us on (07) 5473 5360 to organise details and postage.

Can I still use my Gift Voucher after a year?

Yes, you can as our gift vouchers do not have an expiry. We will ask for the gift voucher number or recipient’s name to ensure the voucher has not already been redeemed.

Where should I park?

Free parking is available along Noosa Parade and the side streets coming off it. Time restricted parking is available at Noosa Heads Lions Park and behind the bus terminal near the roundabout of Noosa Parade and Noosa Drive. Paid parking is available at Bay Village Car Park and the entrance is off Noosa Parade.
